Once we realized the timing was right, we couldn’t find a puppy fast enough!  After some searching, we found a local home breeder in Washington Court House with a litter of AKC Golden Retriever puppies who were ready for their furever homes! We quickly hopped in the car and picked out our sweet girl!

 

Bella’s mom is a petite dark red coated Golden Retriever with a field coat and her dad is a large sandy coated Golden Retriever with a thick gorgeous full coat.

Our older golden, Sandy was the perfect mentor for our newest addition.  Her final gift to our family was helping to raise a sweet baby girl to help soften the blow of losing her a few months later.  It’s amazing how many ways our furbabies bless our families… we miss you, good ‘ole Sandy girl!

True to the breed, Bella is was a smart and eager to please puppy.  We immediately enrolled her in a program at Canines for Christ to earn her AKC Good Citizen certificate.  She mastered all 10 requirements at the young age of 5 months and we’ve enjoyed partnering with Canines for Christ to serve our local community through outreach programs like the reading buddies program at Springer School and Center here in Cincinnati.

 

Bella has been a delight to raise and we often melt at how adorable she is!  She’s grown into a healthy 2-year-old Golden Retriever with a stunning and low maintenance coat and an infectious joy for life!  We couldn’t love our furry family member any more than we do!
